North Midlands Regional Dressage Qualifiers 2025

Monday 2nd June 2025

We returned to Belvoir Vale RDA for the North Midlands Regional Dressage Qualifiers last week with riders from Belvoir Vale, Helen Atkin, Scropton and Wenlo Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) competing to secure qualification to the RDA National Championship next month.

We were delighted that the dressage judge Moria Richarson was back to judge this year’s Regional Dressage Qualifiers, saying “Another wonderful day for me judging at the North Midlands RDA regional qualifiers - one of my favourite judging engagements in my calendar for sure! The sun shone and it was a very warm welcome at the fantastic Belvoir Vale RDA facility - I definitely had indoor arena envy. I thought all the competitors were amazing and that the standard was very high. Of particular note was that a couple of the competitors had to switch horses at the last minute and still managed to produce fantastic tests!! I think the standard of riding bodes well for the Nationals and I will be cheering you all on. Many thanks for the flowers too! Here's hoping I can come back next year!!”

It was a busy day with 24 riders taking part. Grace Cuddington of Belvoir Vale was delighted to retain the Hercules Shield for the third year in a row after achieving the highest junior score of 75%.  Tara Redfern has been awarded the Wimbledon Shield for the highest senior score of 71.90% - a great achievement after her recent high score in the Countryside Challenge a few weeks ago won her the Mike Betts Shield

Congratulations Grace!
